NOW BIGGER AND GAYER THAN EVER!
After the success of last year’s first-ever Big Gay Cabaret, we have decided to turn it into an annual event! In partnership with Charlotte Street Arts Centre, Solo Chicken Productions is hosting an evening of loud, proud queer joy as a form of resistance! Join us for a night of performances from local 2SLGBTQIA+ artists as we celebrate love and fight back against hate!
PLUS! This year’s Cabaret will feature a dance afterparty hosted by djavu!
The Big Gay Cabaret is a fundraiser, with all of the proceeds going to an organization that supports the rights and existence of 2SLGBTQIA+ people. This year, we have decided to donate to Rainbow Railroad, an international organization committed to relocating LGBTQI+ people living in anti-queer regions to safety. ABOUT THE CABARET
WHEN: February 15 2025 at 7:00 PM (Show from 7 - 8:30 PM, afterparty from 8:30 - 9:30 PM). Doors open to the public at 6:30 PM.
WHERE: The Charlotte Street Arts Centre Auditorium (732 Charlotte Street)
AGE: This is a 19+ event. The Charlotte Street Arts Centre bar will be open!
ACCESS: We do our best to create accessible spaces for our performers and audience members. The performance venue is accessible to those who use mobility aids, such as wheel chairs and walkers. This will be a mask-friendly event, with free face masks available at the door!
THEME: This year’s theme is REBEL and we encourage you to dress rebelliously! Whether that means dressing like a badass, defying social norms, or just being unabashedly yourself, we want to put resistance at the forefront of this year’s cabaret! We’ll be awarding the most rebelliously dressed audience member with a prize bag full of goodies from Solo Chicken, Charlotte Street Arts Centre & more!
