CALL FOR ARTIST DEADLINE: October 13 2023

Solo Chicken Productions is putting out a call for artists to take part in a six-week movement lab focused on developing an adaptable movement creation practice. Lead by dancer and theatre artist Sydney Hallett, this lab is geared toward artists with physical disabilities and/or impairments, or artists with any chronic condition/pain that affects movement.  Dancers, movers, and theatre artists of any level of experience who fit this description are welcome to express their interest.

This is a paid opportunity where artists will come together in a supportive atmosphere to play, learn, and create as a collective in the studio once a week led by artist-in-residence Sydney Hallett. These labs are part of a project dedicated to the research and development of an adaptable dance and physical theatre creation practice. Participants can expect to collaborate in the exploration of flexible creation methods meant to support a diversity of experiences in the studio. Participants will be instrumental in shaping future programming through their collaboration, feedback, and discussion.
